Tucson Patients get raided by DEA?

Here is a post from a friend of mine at another forum posted 8/21/12.

Well. Two friends of mine got hit today by the DEA. Both people live on opposite sides of town. One was an indoor set up and they chopped everything and took the equipment. The other was an outdoor garden with only six plants and they were all chopped.
No arrest were made but they said the reason for it was because last Friday the bill was signed to start opening up dispensaries within the next week or so.

I still don't think it's right they did this since no shops are up and running at the moment. But anyways, just thought I'd spread the news since some of us here are from this state.

Anyone else hear of this kind of thing?

I'm a skeptic. Something doesn't sound right.

Why would the DEA care about the 25 mile rule or not? You see, the DEA is federal, not state. In the eyes of the DEA it has always been, and still is, 100% ill-fucking-legal no matter where you live or what kind of card you carry.

The DEA has better stuff to do than bust chronic-pain patients growing a dozen plants. I doubt that would even catch their interest. This will pan out to be inaccurate or exaggerated in some way, because the story doesn't jive as is.

yeah man I'm agreed...i'm a skeptic. I think your freinds got ripped off lol. Normally you get paper work if shit gets taken... and you think there would be charges if shit was filled into evidence... alot sounds wrong with this i'm almost sure your friends got ripped off

Was probably PD not DEA.

I bet there will be a lot more of this. It's really easy to track folks IP address too btw. On forums such as this.

why would the DEA waste resource on such a small bust. The feds woudl only approve the bust IF they had suspician of ALOT of plants. 6 plants?? personal grower? Im not sure ANY pt growers in AZ THAT ARE LEGAL with plant limits getting busted.
I might be mistaken, but smell like BS to me. Tucson PD dont mess with MMJ people. I have had multiple encounters since i work with AZ4Norml.....i just dnt think the DEA woudl bother.

yeah did they even see badges sounds like ur buddies had a friend that told someone about it or if u just have a fucked up county maybe but if Sheriff Joe hasn't started its surprising someone else had before him

I haven't heard anything about this either. Something just doesn't sound right, nosy neighbors maybe or who knows. Either way that's just not right.
