tucking the leaves

hey people i got some short plants but some huge fan leaves. they have been on 12/12 for about a week now and a few have showed signs of sex (all female). i just found out if i tuck the fan leaves. i wont have to trim them as much. or would it just be better to just trim them away as needed. :blsmoke:grow.jpg

tucking is the way to go. don't clip em unless they're so dense it's trapping moisture which could lead to problems, but a good fan usually eliminates this concern. cheers.

i dont ever trim leaves, if something is in the way it only takes a few seconds to tie it down or tuck it. You dont lose all the stored energy, mess up its ability to *breathe* so that it has to stop what its doing and grow more little leaves into big leaves to replace the ones it lost, they also are the most effecient at photosynthesis, and, leaves are not as solid as they appear, it may seem they are blocking light, but in reality about 15% of the light hits chloroplasts and interact with them for photosynthesis, the other 85% keeps right on going.

Tucking your leaves is a nice way to treat your plant. On the other hand, I love hacking my plants, cropping them shaping them, and trestelling them to grow side way's.If you don't wanna crop by cloning you can shape it to a bush stature by bending the highest tip belowe a secondary shoot. I tuck my leaves and bend a lot and crop by clone
