Trying to start first grow but dont have PH test strips

Im trying to get my first grow under way but i dont have any ph test strips right now. I do have PH up and down but that doesnt do me much good without knowing the PH of my tap water.

Should i soak my cubes in regular tap water, should i add some ph down to it, should i wait for test strips, can i start without adjusting the ph or am i bound to screw it up? Help lol Thanks

Your guess is as good as mine. I'd wait for some way to know the pH before blinding adjusting it.

I have not used ph testers once...but I am growing in soil, its definitely more important in hydro...I have not experienced anything too negative yet...proof is in the link to my grow in my sig

I def wouldn't add anything wothout knowing but I haven't used any or checked my ph. I'm doin ok so far 3 weeks into my 1st grow

shoot i just bought a pen and dont even know if im calibrating it right...fuk...haha
