Trying to grow in atiic!!

Hello All, I live in Ca and the weather has gotten really weird now its become very cold here. Im trying to grow in the attic of my apartments that i live. I went up there the other day and everything seems ok. I drilled nearby an outlet for my hps light and reachs fine. Im using a lumatek ballast dim 400 watt no air cooler which is the problem. It gets around 80-85 degrees durring the day IF sunny for couple of hours but once after 4 or 5 oclock the temperature drops to near 75-79 degrees. I have 2 air-vents that looks like for fresh air to go in and out. Any advice.?

whats your lowest temp throughout the night cycle?

Attics get extreamly hot. Wont right now cuz its winter but a few months it will b stupid hot n there. Make sure u have a really good ventalation system going to keep the air fresh and cool

At day it gets 85-90 degrees for couple hours but once sun starts going down it gets 69-74 degrees. My lamp does not have a air cool tube : / its just opened . other then that im going this week to get the general hydroponics nutrients and fox farm soil.

is there fiber glass insulation up there? that can catch fire? you risk burning the whole apartments down.. is it an actual ATTIC? or just a crawlspace? under 4ft tall?

Yes there is is it possible moving some from where im growing.? On top where the kitchen is at the roofing is different, More strong and 8-10 foot tall and able to grow at least 5 plants. Ive lost my other spots to grow so this is the only 1 i have, please if i can change anything up there to grow tell me i work at a place for nothing but construction stuff, cant really say where for my saftyness but i can get anything.

Yes there is insulation up there but theres a koo spot right on top of the kitchen, its 7-9 feet and perfect for a grow but just not sure. What can i do to make that area a grow spot.
