“Look, we have a tragedy,” Trump told reporters as he prepared to depart for Puerto Rico, where he is set to survey the storm-damaged island. “And what happened in Las Vegas is, in many ways, a miracle. The police department has done such an incredible job.”

Because he has mastered the politics of division and manipulation.

Between gerrymandering and each political party's legal ability to completely ignore the voted of their constituents, what this amounts to is a slow motion coup d'etat. Kiss democracy goodbye...

Early indications suggest Kennedy is on board this time. Don't know if it will make a difference. I agree with you on its importance.
Although both parties are guilty of gerrymandering, the Republicans have made it an art form. It is the ultimate disrespect for democracy.
