And I speak in terms of national origin here instead of race, which I feel the racial element a completely legit conversation to have, but I'm framing my thoughts on this in terms of national origin for this reason: race has been subjective over time. When you meet a caucasian with a last name of O'Reilly, McDonnell, Murphy, or O'sullivan you see them as "White" correct? While remember there was a time the Irish were considered anything but "White".

I use the Irish as an example but there are many others this can be said for too over time.
