why? 'she's tough and smart and deserves to be speaker' -45

this was just 5 months ago:

she's going to be speaker and everyone knows it..watch..he's going to say it was he who got her her speakership back.

he will then expect to be repaid.

it's almost the reason to NOT want nancy.

I said it yesterday, I think, but I believe Pelosi is connected to Trump, as is McConnell, Lindsey, and Ryan. She’s talking moving forward while everybody else talking about impeachment and getting down to business.

only 11 house Democrats have talked about impeachment.

I feel the Dems need to focus on health care/living wage/edu/jobs/infrastructure/criminal justice reform/ immigration. I really think those take higher value over trying to spend yrs looking for ways to impeach the orange idiot.

Talk of Democrats creating gridlock over impeachment is a right wing propaganda talking point. Only 11 House Democrats have actually posed taking action toward impeachment. Most House Democrats including Pelosi see the situation same as you.

This could change if 30 Republican Senators join with Democrats to remove Trump from office and nobody believes they would do that today. Maybe if something happens to change the situation but not now and not in the foreseeable future.

Yup, that impeachment stuff is a waste of time. There are too many real issues which need to be fixed/improved for the benefit of every American citizen.

don't impeach trump now.....just use the house to stymie the republicans until 2020 and after thump leaves office then we can arrest him and try him and put him in prison for life....
It’ll probably be easier to execute him for treason, as well, I suppose. As long as they start after his Presidency ends, they can’t claim it’s a political smear.

I just can’t stand the thought of having to endure this embarrassment for another two years. God knows what else he might do between now and 2020. At least we have the House now, as a kind of failsafe.

It sucks having Trump for prez on that I can certainly agree. Every time somebody tells me that they don't vote because they don't think it matters or Democrats are same as Republicans I want to wring their neck.

I voted for all Libertarians, who I didn’t expect to win, except in my district’s Rep race, which I voted for the Democrat. The other Libs, I just liked their positions more, but for the most part, they really did align more Left than Right in terms of current issues.

The libertarian philosophy is pretty conservative.

I’m a Constructivist. Everything is a social construct. Looking through the policies of the Libertarians in my area, they were more centrist than anything. They supported legalizing on a larger scale than the Democrats, they supported health care. I believe in the Second Amendment but also support regulation of fully automatic firearms and explosives. I can do the same thing with a semi-automatic “hunting rifle” chambered in 5.56mm or 7.62mm NATO as I can with a semi-automatic rifle with a pistol grip and picatinny rail, and the automatic/burst function isn’t really used by riflemen in combat. Like, we’re more about accurate, sustained fire to pop heads that pop up while SAW gunners and 240s keep heads down. I believe that to give up your right to bear arms is a sure road to oppression in the long run. My point is, I kind of straddle between the two, but I lean more Left than Right. I believe we need regulations to a degree where there is as little compromise of personal freedom as possible, but to the degree that people are not taking advantage of each other through an underhanded cycle of institutional poverty and other forms of “subliminal” oppression.

I fully support citizens in their right state of mind being able to own firearms for hunting along with using as a last result in terms of self defense. There needs to be some strict enforcement of regulation to keep guns out of the hands of crazy nut jobs though. The problem is many folks on the right think when someone speaks on regulation that means to take the guns away from everybody.
