no..there is so much hairspray it will become a solid after it gets wet..it's a wig and they look worse than regular hair after getting wet..like on solid block..kinda of like the big piece you pull out of your dryer's lint trap..it would look like that.

It was a decision made by security. At least that's what I read. Am I wrong?

From what I understand, they couldn't take the "choppa", and would have had to close substantial parts of Paris on short notice for the President's motorcade.
