Troubleshooting With Botanicare 25 site Cloner

Having trouble with my clone machine and its pissing me off and im about to switch back to rockwool , i used the powerclone and aquashield that came with it and no roots in 6 days , i put an airstone in the reservoir and i use spring water in it , have it under a t8 and a 50w ufo led . . . . Any suggestions anyone ? The first batch of clones i got from it were insane but now it seems the machine isnt working effectively ? Should i add more powerclone ? Or add something else ? Bring the Ph down some ? I want this machine dialed in so i can have endless clones ! Please help as im new to using cloners

Is it the same strain as the first time?
the strain I'm currently cloning in mine is taking 9-10 days for most to show true roots
I only use tap water & Olivias cloning solution
water temp stays a constant 78 and my pump is on 15 off 15
also running a 6" air stone
this is my 3rd atempt with the cloner & would love to see roots in 6 days

Some of the roots in the first run were showing in 4 days ! And alot of the same stuff is in the cloner as the first run . Any suggestions ?

I'm not saying that this is your problem, but I wouldn't keep the same solution in it endlessly. I take apart my EZ Clone and rinse with bleach water between batches.
I have also learned that it is not good to simply dip your cuts into the cloning gel or powder or whatever you use (do you use anything?). The bottle becomes a breeding ground. Instead, take out a small amount into another dish and dip into that, then discard what's left.

In between batches i did clean the machine out Tet ! And i dont re use powders and im very thorough when i do use powders , my clones in rockwool will probably have roots first so idk what the prob is

before putting plants in, did you run it a few days and stabilize the ph??

Are you using the same water source?

I had trouble on my first attempt using my tap water(that is well water and very metal/salt heavy) and, luckily I saved my batch(5 of 8 of them anyway) by dumping the bucket water and using store-bought spring water.

On my second attempt(using spring water) all 8 of 8 had significant roots around 10 days. Now are all in soil.

Not sure about the kind of cloner you have, but it sounds like to much effort. I don't use anything but tap water and have root beards within 10 days with 100 percent success. I don't even ph my water. Give it a shot sometime and make sure your sprayers aren't clogged.

some strains take longer... I run a few different strains and often clone all of them at The same time. some take 8 days some take 14.
I am giving up on the aero cloner all together. Tge transition to soil imo stunts tgem longer then if started in root riots

So would soil and rockwool work just fine ? Powder for soil cuttings and gel for rockwool ? I got olivias cloning gel , any feedback ? Im used to using roottech

And where can i get some cheap root riots ? Them things are expensive ! And does olivias gel work good with root riot cubes ?

they don't have to be root riots something similar will work. regular promix works fine. I like the root riots because there is 0 transplant shock because they hold totether and have mycos. rock wool works well too. I order everything but soil off the internet usually buy a few hundred dollars worth at once to get free shipping. olivias works! but I have used a lot of methods and I think it depends more on ur environment being well controlled more then anything. honey works too... and root riots alone with no gel or powder will give u roots in two works

yes u can use both with root riots. I have used honey just to see if it works and it did work
