Trouble sleeping?

Given that most of us on this site smoke, it'd be a safe bet to say that not a lot of people have issues falling asleep, but there are exceptions. I don't have this problem but one thing I did notice that I've been doing recently has led me to believe that it dramatically affects the quality of your sleep.

Before I go to bed, I turn off any and ALL electronic devices in my room and keep my cell phone in a different room. Why? Electromagnetic fields (EMF's). No Wi-Fi, no TV, no lights, no cell phone, no laptop.. EVERYTHING completely off. If you sleep in a room where there is EMF's, your brain will mistake those waves as light waves and produce no melatonin when you sleep, which is exactly what regulates your sleeping and is also a powerful antioxidant. Melatonin is also important for a healthy digestive and immune system.

Ever since I've been turning off EVERYTHING completely before I go to sleep, the quality of my sleep has been amazing. I actually wake up (early, too, 7-9 A.M.) feeling refreshed and my body just feels really good. Just thought I'd share because I know a lot of people out there have issues sleeping and insomnia can ruin lives. Not to mention the harmful effects from EMF's, which I strongly urge you to look more into so you can avoid them.

that is what tinfoil is for DUH!

the Earth itself has MANY natural occurring mag fields.. you my friend are SOL

i read myself to sleep after taking a sleeping pill. tv keeps me awake. i don't know how some ppl can sleep with it on. but my magic bullet is my fan that i turn on. it drowns out other noises that wake me up. it's called white noise. i notice on airplanes i fall asleep easier because of the sound the engines make. i've been using fans for years. i would recommend it to anyone.

Thats exactly what I do and I've been using fans or years to, I take my sleeping pill read until I can't keep my eyes open and I have my fan on to drown out any noise from outside as I have to sleep with the windows open( hot flushes) unfortunately I wake up a few times to pee but manage to go off again it's a nightmare not being able to sleep hence the sleeping pill.

I go through phases of insomnia which is probably tied to my depression. Of course, I still smoke whatever I can get - I don't have the luxury of picking this strain or that, which is part of the reason I'm starting to grow.

3 benadryl every night, problem solved on this end at least.

And my sinuses are clear in the AM, despite city pollution!.

I don't see how some people can smoke multiple bowls and not want to go to sleep. If you have energy after a few bowls (all in one smoking session), then I think it's time for a tolerance break lol.

I sleep with my wifi modem on 24/7 never bothered me but i sleep with my fan on though, but when i shut it off then go back to sleep I get more intense and vivid dreams strangely enough.

It might not bother you but if you haven't experienced it without all of it turned off, then I'd recommend it. Maybe how you feel now is nothing compared to how you could feel after a night's rest in pure silence/darkness/EMF-free. And even if you haven't noticed it, EMF exposure is very serious. It can cause psychological issues like anxiety and depression, among depleting your immune system and many others. I unplug all that shit when I'm not using it. I've noticed less brain fog as well since doing this.

I smoked two bowls of this "dragon berry", which could very well be medical around 4. Passed out sometime later, decided to get up at 11 and haven't been tired. This bud is so nice. Crystals everywhere, berry fruity smell, burns slow. Has to be one of the best sativa's out there. I smoked at my friends house and I was just laughing non-stop for like five minutes straight on the drive home.

to be honest I havent been any more depressed or filled with anxiety keeping my wifi on,it just dosent effect me in any noticeable fashion that i have sensed, not to mention everyone has been sick at my work but me,though i do take my vitamins regularly with eating healthy for the most part and wash my hands religiously.Ive had the wifi for over a year now,,,it just affects different people in other ways i guess.

It affects everyone, some people are more sensitive but it still affects everyone, especially if you're exposed to it a lot. It's not only Wi-Fi, it's your cell phone, TV, desktop/laptop, microwave, flourescent lights, etc.

Is this really an epidemic in the making? The research seems to suggest yes. There are over 500 studies on the negative effects of cell phone radiation alone. Over the last 15 years, reports, conferences, and studies have found even more serious health complications related to exposure to EMFs.

Some of these are:

· Brain tumors
· Changes in DNA
· Cardiovascular problems
· Compromised immune function
· Childhood leukemia
· Nervous system disruption

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere, you are constantly being bombarded with EMF from all sorts of things including good ol Mr. Sun.

I suffer from an over active brain, I manage to keep it distracted and can stay somewhat focused during the day but man when I hit the pillow it's like trying to watch 3 channels at once in my head. Whats worse is I can sit and stare at a computer without a thought in my head but as soon as I lay down BAM can't sleep, this I've suffered from since I can remember I accept it but my wife hates it. It's rare that I smoke myself to sleep, it'd take an all day smoke sesh to wear me out like that and I refuse to take pills to sleep, only pill I take is heart burn. Smoking some Purp Urkel now it's got a nice indica stone. Reading can help sometimes but even with that I tend to get lost in thought once i quit reading.

Hard to fall asleep and hard to rise.
