TrolMaster hydro x controlling LEDs?

Does anyone have experience with trolmaster hydro x and syncing DIY LEDs with it? I looked at trolmasters instagram they mentions it briefly but dosent go into detail. Trolmaster has controllers for brand specific LEDs. Is there a simple way to link up DIY LEDs?
