Yeah, I had the roots of a plant clog the drain in my last hydro grow. I made one of those 4" pvc deals.
Anyway the plant closest to the drain clogged it so I cut off about 18" of its roots, leaving about a foot.
I watched carefully for about a week and didn't even see any stress so I would say you will be fine cutting them back.

how many time can you bloom a plant that stated from a seed? how many times can you bloom a clone. can you clone a mother after you bloom it and if so is the potency diminished.

Seed or clone you can bloom, cut all the top colas and re-veg it as long as you leave some green on the plant.
I know guys who have done it with seed 3 times without any difference in potency but thats about it.

It's so much easier to take clones and grow another plant most people dont do it.

There is argument here, some say yes, some say no. It seems from my personal research the guys who have been running the same strain for years and would actually know all say no issues with cloning a clone. I have not heard a truly experienced clone user who says that it does lower quality at all, just people who think they know.

I have run the same strain (clone a clone) three or four times and the only reason I stopped was I got tired of the smoke and wanted something different.

can you clone a clone without it deminishing the potency?
Not IMO, I reclone my mothers all the time, once I ravage her and she looks retarded I just use another one of her cuttings to make a new mother discarding the original. Doesn't seem to change a thing. I've never started from seed, if I purchased seeds and picked a mother I'd probably keep her for good.
