Trimming suggestions anyone?

I have 3 about 10 inches tall 3 weeks old i want to top at least one for an experiment. What is a good way to do this and should i wait a little first.

Do it when you want, just cut the top of it off, doesn't matter where really, then just leave it alone.

no rocket science to it just cut the grow shoot off and it does it own thing right??
