Trimming Leaves

:?: I have never felt the need to trim leaves from my plants, but looking at my White Widow the new leaves from new branches are being shaded and tangled against bigger sun leaves above. Is cutting a finger or two from some of the bigger leaves ok to give room for light and growth to the smaller ones coming through?:leaf:

Your gona get different answers. I say leave the leaves be. Not sure what the logic is to remove a leaf that is getting light to provide light to another leaf? The shaded leaf is still getting some fall-off light and if it is in total shade it will drop on it's own.

i trim fan leaves that block bud sites...especially the size of the bud...the smallest bud sites at the very bottom of the plant are not as important and the big sites closer to the top of the plant.

once i get down to the flushing stage (before harvest) i usually trim off majority of the excess leaves. its not going to hurt your plant...just be careful to not chop off some bud/bud sites in the process.

you'll get a mixed reaction but i havent seen any negative effects from trimming fan leaves.

I do remove leaves during flowering, but my plants are only about to hit the 4 week mark vegging, I dont usualy remove leaves when vegging, bt usualy my plants have about 2" more height for the amount of leaves they have, also my plant grew 2 pair of branches coming from under the fan leaves so hoping I get an extra good harvest fromm this one. I dont think I will cut them as I never have and it doesnt seem to be something you MUST do from what I'm. I supose taking leaves off during veg is like putting old batteries in place of new, it wont get the same amount of energy as it could.

The buds get power from the fan leaves I have some nice buds totally shaded by their own surrounding fan leaves. Now if one plant is shading another then obviously it will suffer.

you try to tie them out of the way or tuck them somehow. The plant would probably like it better if you did that. Cutting leaves obviously causes stress and plus all of the leaves are useful to the plant, in regulating its growth and development. Don't mutilate your plant!

Im gonnae do what I usualy do an just leave them, but this one is so bush its unreal, but the more stems the more buds that grow. I hope thats the case here.
