Trimming help?

Hey guys! I'm finishing up my harvest and all is well, Cure is going per plan and all that so I stepped into a dispensary to see whats up and the guy says my sample bud needs some better manicuring. Now I have this particular bud trimmed pretty frikkin tight already but it is a tip of a cola and there is maby three actual buds on this one tip. Is he telling me to break it down into individual buds? Never did this before. The bud looked pretty figgin good to me so what's up? Any feedback is appreciated

I would need a picture but yeah they don't like them big huge colas and want then broken down to buds.....not sure if that's what you meant.

i always look at it and say if i was buying this would i want it to look like that.

That's pretty much what I meant! I will do that but personally, I kinda like those christmas tree looking tops but I think they are concerned about what's inside?
Valid I suppose as I have opened one or two that looked pretty good before being broken down only to reveal mold after they were taken apart.
Those real tight colas are a bitch for holding the moisture and attracting mold. double edged sword

Break your colas down, dont leave any stem showing, buds only. If a person is buying 1/8th and your cola is 1/2 oz, the tender has to break it down, they lose weight on stems, and mold can be hidden in huge buds. Thats why when you bring in big buds they wanna break em in half it seems to look inside.

Trimming for clubs is a little different than doing it for yourself or friends.... Thier customers do not want to pay for stems, scragly leaf or shake... make sure you break it down into seperate nugs, trim it tight. If you have those fan leaves that are half sticking out make sure you get in there and snip the stem as well... when you leave these on and the bud dries they stand out like a sore thumb... also when you bring it in make sure there is no shake in the bag..... They don't want it and neither do I so roll it up for samples or friends...
