Hi, Would it benificial to cut some of these leaves off i have circled in white? Also wondering why the shoots are growing out so long from the stem (circled in red)

you can cut some leaves if they are blocking access to bud nodes. it's also helpful if your doing sog. most people tend to say to leave 'em since the plant draws energy from the large fan leaves.
