Trichs and Seeds???

So today I took a small bud from the plants to check trichs under work microscope ;-)

I found what looks like to be seeds. the plants themselves were grown from bag seed... so... does that mean there are strains that just have seeds??

Note: It is IMPOSSIBLE that these plants received any pollen from another plant, as they were the only 3 seeds that survived and they all turned out female. Can someone confirm or deny that these are seeds judging by the pics? One pic shows the larger one cut in half.

Any advice on when the plants may be ready would be appreciated too - I had thought to cut them down after Canadian Thanksgiving (Oct 9), but am watching the trichs closely.

How does something like that happen??

I tried a sample from 1 week and 2 weeks ago which still got me pretty ripped - so I can't say I'm not satisifed over all. At least I'll have some seed for next year ;)

I had the same thing happen last year. All plants come up female. I watched and checked everyday. I ended up with 3 beautifully formed seeds at the end. So I planted them this year, just to see what would happen.

plant decided it need to grow a pair lol...god only knows...maybe a bug sat there and shit on that area and the plant was all OMFG IM GOING TO TEABAG THAT BUG MAN...START NUT GROWTH NOW!!!

It can just happen...i.e. nature is nature comment...why do some people look like a yeti, yet some people are mostly hairless, nature! :D

lol. There must be some explanation. Clearly yeti's are genetically engineered that way, maybe just not so lucky by today's standards lol

But would that mean that I am 'unlucky?' regarding this discovery?? They certainly don't seem any less potent than some of the buds I have smoked lately.

These plants also came from bag seed, so would that mean that if I grow seeds found in this plant, that it would develop seeds in female plants further down the line, etc?? I guess it's hard to say, considering I don't know what strain I am growing?

Life just couldn't be easy could it... but then I suppose it would also be quite boring.

There ready man...chop them now....half amber+half cloudy = harvest....Your plants probably hermied and gave you a few seeds.... no big deal....

Your plant probably hermied (if those are in fact seeds).

Amber trichomes are the sign of THC degrading into CBN.
CBN is not a pleasant 'high'. It's been attributed as, not a real high but more like an unpleasant state if you will.
Indica or Sativa is what attributes most to what kind of high you will get. Although there are a lot of variables, like the ratio of THC/CBD (usually Strains don't have much CBD unless bred for it).

If you were, for example, to harvest at 100% amber trichomes you would end up having almost no THC left.

Harvest as close to 100% cloudy / milky as possible, this is where THC is at it's maximum and you will get the full effect of the particular strains high.

If you want a couch-lock effect grow a _pure_ Indica strain.

I defiantely still see a bunch of clear trichs so I am going to check in another few days to a week and go from there. Also kind of hope those are seeds. lol I sure liked the high from my "samples" so I'm sure I'll like to have this plant as part of next years collection lol.

SOmetimes females produce random seeds - apparently if a female never gets pollinated they can either produce a sack or 2 themselves to get the job done or just use its own genetics to create another seed. Many growers call these seeds Clone Seeds because they have the exact genetics of the female they came from and absolutely none of the male. These seeds tend to be female.

Please keep in mind my friend that I am not speaking from an agricultural engineer standpoint - its just from the books and stuff I have read.

Very neat stuff! It would be like my wife saying "fine, you don't want kids? i'll bang myself!"... fortunately, I'm not that stupid ;) lol

Yeah :) Hell man, I hope she was a stinky ass bitch cuz when you got a couple fem seeds =D Plant those bad boys and go wild

Edit: Bad Girls.
