Trichomes and Pistill question? Also a question about flush?

I am on day 36 of flowering a White Fire. She is budding out nice and definitely is coming along. No hiccups! Thing is, the pistills are already starting to turn orange. Also, I have a 100x scope and just got done looking at a lower cola, a very lower cola and the trichs are 75% cloudy, no amber. Now I have flowered before and I know the end and outs, but is this common. I have had bud be done in 55 days. Its all about the attention to detail. Especially since u have to determine flush, which I have never done. The only chemical I dont like to taste is Nitro, and those usually hang out in the leafs. Not only that the plant will drain itself of chemicals, because it need those chemicals to survive as the plants figure out they are dying and concentrate 100% to the colas. So I believe in feeding that fat bitch so she gets even fatter.

You know what i like about fat bitches, ther colas. haha

So the question, since I really no nothing about the strain, Is it a little early for the hairs to turn orange and for the the Trichs to be so cloudy?

I do know she is 80% indica and 20%sativa

Obviously not. They are doing it. How did you ever focus a frigging 100X scope? Newbies, don't do this. Use a 30X jewelers loupe or a 40X handheld. The handhelds are $15 from Amazon.

Dude it is a hand held 100x scope and looks like a 40x scope u can buy. It was given to me. If you hold everything still, turn the little dial, and wallah, focused. Is ther a reason I am not alowed to use a 100x scope? I mean did you even need to respond to this thread. Hey this is not my first rodeo, I post threads here because u will find usually the most helpful people in Newbie.

Some strains and phenos can turn cloudy early in flower and remain that way for sometime before fully maturing. Other are clear right up until the last few weeks when they begin to turn. I say carry on as normal. No need to flush, just reduce your nutes the last few weeks and then just plain water the last couple of waterings.......
By the looks of the pics I would say you have an easy 4 weeks left if not a bit more....

Never said you couldn't use it or didn't know how. Just slight overkill and 90% of people buying them shelve them for that reason. Do whatever you want. I post for newbies help too. Growing since 1964 (you weren't born then is my guess) so it is at least my second rodeo. Newbies - don't waste your money using a 100X scope. Shakes like hell for an image, hard as hell to truly focus IF handheld. 40X is all you need.

BTW rodeo star, why are you asking such simple questions? Oh I know - to create a forum for true newbies.

And I have the same damned scope, on a shelf, where it lies while the 40X handheld and the 30X jewelers loupe is used daily. Wow. I'm impressed. A 100X scope nobody can use.

Hey Hotrod, cool off ur Harley. Look man I am able to use the 100x scope, call me special ed, but my name is kvn. Just dont call me late for dinner. Happen last night, my wife's family gave us the wrong time for dinner. No shit! Anyways, I was looking for help, u dont like 100x scope because u have a hard time focusing them. I didnt reccomend it, I jsut said. So with all of this infinite wisdom u have, any opinions on the grow?

I'd rather not argue or critisize u, I want u too look at the pics of my current grow and read the question. As I have only been growing for a year, and I have learned a lot from some pretty cool people at RIU. I am new to growing, but I am not new to the world as I have lived 56% of an avg. life, and have been to several rodeo's in my time. Prefer Concerts, though.

@supertramp, good answer, makes sense. Thanks!

By the way, an old school grower gave me most of my equipment. Knowledge I had to develop and learn myself!

I had some bag seed that started clouding up at 4 weeks of flower and didnt start turning amber for another 3 weeks. My guess is its a characteristic of the strain. And I too use a 100x scope. Ignore the BS

Kvn, there's a really great sticky by koijn called "Harvesting and Trichomes" in the Harvesting forum. It was still active when I used it almost 2 months ago, and koijn is really responsive. He's not an advocate of flushing or moderate feeding, and he backs it all up with a bibliography of respected books and other resources. If you read the first few pages of the thread, you'll get where he's going.

I live in the Caribbean, and the few plants I've grown so far have finished flowering earlier than the estimated times. I don't know if you've done any foliar feeding or sprayed for pesticidal reasons early in flowering, but depending on the strength of the spray, this could quicken the color change on the pistils, too.

Your grow looks great!

Well one thing is, I am not going to flush. I will tone down on my nutes, but since the plant can store 2 weeks worth of Nutes in its leaf, wats the point. You could flush the soil, but unless you wait for the plant to lose all of its leaves, ther will always be chemicals. Also, some flowers do most or a lot of ther growing in the last couple of weeks, why would u want to deny her the nutes she needs to finish out strong. I dont want leaves falling off, I want them reaching for the light. I know I open up a can of woopass, but please if you have an opinion, remember we are all individuals and have different styles of grow.

You old fuck, ya shake to hard to use a 100X? Maybe you should stop wacking off long enough to look at your trichs....lol j/k
