Trichome production problem

So this is only my 2nd grow with LED lighting, but both times I am not getting alot of "crystals/sugars". I grow in Dutch Bucket systems connected to resevoirs (recirculating). Temp is usually at about 80 degrees and humidity 40%-60% (fluctuating). Humboldts nutrient part A&B plus Humbolts Golden Tree for Potassium- once a week. Less are VIPARSPECTRA 600 watts
I want better trichome product in, what do I do?

UVB lights and some sulfur in bloom works well for me.

FOLLOW UP QUESTION- even though VIPARSPECTRA are good lights, is it also just cause they sre more inexpensive lights (around $300 each) do you all think? UPGRADES on lights you think?
If - please suggest which brands and/or price point. Thanks!

that's a loaded question. really need to establish your budget, room size, grow style etc. first.

My flowering room size is approximately 10 feet by 7 feet. I grow hydroponically in bucket systems (3). As far as a girl style I also use the main stemming method if you are familiar with that period budget-wise is up in the air so I guess that is a loaded question for sure. All I can say to that is that I am motivated to spend if I need to. Any sort of opinion would help

This could very well be a genetics problem, not a grow issue. Some strains just don't put out resin like others. What are you growing?

Before I answer that I am aware that the next grows that I do I will limit myself to just a few strains

That said, I'm growing these
Pineapple Express ,Trainwreck, fruit spirit, Dutch Delight, dream machine, sex bud, ladyburn 1974, big tooth, and remedy CBD

How many lights/watts do you have in there? If just the one there's one problem.

2 lights. And they are 600 watts each

It might be genetics, I've been using Humboldts line up and like the results. I don't know much about led lighting. Maybe switching to a hps for flower.

You're running 2x Viparspectra 600, which draws 276w from the wall.
That gives you 552W for 70 square feet.. Or 7.9W pr. square feet.

You need way more light to that room..

DankDane (or anyone else for that matter)- how much TOTAL light/watts do I need? Also, do you have any suggestions on brands and/or types of LED or anything. All info appreciated. Thank you!

At the very least 2000 lumens per square foot. I'm running 88000 in a 9sf tent, comes out to 9777 lumens psf, at 450 watts. Mine has a dimmer, 600,450,300 watts.

Check this out. They're cheap, haven't had any problems. You can run metal halide and high pressure sodium off the same ballast. It should increase yield a good bit too.

25 to 35 watts per sq/ft of quality LED will have great results in most set ups,that's at the wall.

If wanting to stick led look at Timber, the diy threads, HLG and some of the others.
