Trichome color difference

I have been harvesting when my trichomes are milky white (as recommend by Jorge Cervantes). Is it better to wait for amber trichomes? I want to understand the difference and know exactly what the color change signifies

IMO when they turn amber, you are losing potency because things are starting to degrade. The Couchlock effect verus an up, head high is more in the genetics and whether it's sativa or indica. So I agree with Jorge. I wouldn't use trichs as the sole means of determining readiness. The pistils should not only be orange, but they should appear to be receding into the bud, as the bud does its final swell.

So ya gotta have an overall feel for ripeness.

it is up to you...what do you like. i prefer 75% cloudy and 25% amber.
some like a more couch lock. So, they will harvest with a higher percentage of amber.

it's all up to you. enjoy

Couch lock doesn't sound bad to me lol...by degrading it's losing potency right? Are there other signs of bud ripeness to watch for

You may want to consider staggering your harvest. Sample the top, then work your way down over the course of several days or even weeks as some parts finish later than others.

i think wat ppl are trying to tell you is to experiment. try all different ways and decide wat suits your needs best.
