Treating tap water with aquarium dechlorinator for tea?

I am trying to make some tea but read that chlorine and chlormine in the water kills the microbes. So I was wondering if it is safe to treat the water with aquarium dechlorinator that also removes chloramine? Or will it also kill the microbes? Just not ready for a full R.O filter yet. I am using below solution.

Sorry to restir an old thread but how did this work out for you? Thinking of scraping the filter for a dechlorinator. I know microbelife has one but this seems more cost effective.

Just an FYI, one of my favorite little tricks is to dechlorinate water with vitamin c. I buy a pound of acorbic acid on Amazon for $12 and it dechlorinates all of my nutrient solution water and turtle tank water for years. You only need something like 30 mg per gallon, but if you just eyeball like 1/8 of a teaspoon per bucket full you're good. This is 100% science-science not bro-science. Some people like to dechlorinate their bathwater this way too-1 teaspoon per tub full.
