Ok, here's Detroit treasure. I know there's more around the D.

The tiles that they produced have created some amazing installations and hearths throughout Michigan, worth finding. discovered antique-tile mural work at the Detroit Zoo in an aquarium area.

I'd purchase a house in the D just for the right fireplace (jk, jk) although I doubt many original pewabic tile hearths are still intact. Since this 100+ year old pottery still produces, I'd consider looking at their new work bet a lot of it is still timeless along w same glaze recipes..

I am sure he gave away cash in more traditional ways as well while he was here . He is not a media whore but, I am sure
he wanted the 10k bundles to go to people that do not follow him on social media. Highly doubt that was his intended
demographic. My first thought was his generosity could end badly though.

Art and music have been known to change a culture once or twice. Detroit could hire another 100k cops today and they would
not be able to get to the root problem like art or music could.
