Transplanting / Pot size

Hi, First time grower here.
I was hoping I had added enough coir for this plant until harvest but it's been bursting in growth lately after beening Fimmed.
The roots are starting to come out of the bottom where I drilled holes. How should I go about adding more coir to this pot without severely harming the plant?
Hoping for a few colas and a decent harvest.

101 is plant roots don't like light ...

so just imagine how big it would have been if you new that?

cut the fucker out gently like and insert into a standard 3 us gallon pot

...light proof is good

good luck

I've researched the whole light thing. The roots do not care and they're really healthy.
The issue is if there is enough coco until harvest.

Hey hey D
Ok, they look nice and white at the moment. The point though even if they do like light would be so does anything else that may want to find its way into a damp and warm place, Algae for example. Bacteria ect.. Your roots will not like that! So a light proof pot is better by far than one that isn't.
Roots will find a way out of any holes. Don't worry about that so much. I'm struggling to guess at how big that container is and don't know how long you plan to veg for either? Given the root system already I would pot up into something 15ltr or above. You wont kill her. Yes transplanting may stress her out but its nothing she cant handle. As vostok said, cut her out carefully.

Enjoy the experience Dsarush!

Makes sense. It's a 5 gallon water jug with the top cut off so my guess is there's around 3 gallons atm. I don't have any bigger pots around hence why I used an old jug. I think i'll just tape something around the jug that won't allow light through and yet still be able to check root growth by removing it. It's a soil less medium (coco). I'm hoping to veg until the new stems are large enough to get something off of. 400w mh

Yeah wrap something around it to protect it. Best of both worlds then. Good old coco!
