hello fellow riu members.......i have a question, hopefully someone can give me some good answers.....i currently have 3 crimea blue that has been vegging for over 3 months maybe even close to 4 months........right now i have em in 4-5 gallon pots.....the plants are HUGE.......i wanted to transplant them into larger containers ( 18 gallon totes).........the past month the plants been showing PREFLOWERS.......but the last couple of days i've started to see more preflowers or white hairs growing......i think it is starting to flower, which im excited about......i just want to put them in larger containers to get more bud and so they dont get root bound...........my question is........Would i be okay to transplant them now into larger pots without harming the plant??? because i heard its best to transplant weeks before flowering stage......and right now i think they are starrting to flower.........i will put up pics later....currently at work......

You can up-can them fine, it just might stall flowering for a week or two.

It might be a good idea to score the root ball if it's wound up tightly.

I'm sure that the roots of a 4 month plant in a 4-5 gallon pot are getting pretty tight for space.

Just click the link in my signature. You can transplant whenever you want. Don't touch the roots in flowering like Lil Czr mentioned.

Scoring the root ball means to make 3 to 4 vertical cuts down your root ball about 1/4 inch deep to promote root growth.

It's a technique to treat a plant the is root bound or close to it.

here are the 3 crimea blue ladies.......transplanting went better then i thought.....i digged some holes, that way i can get an extra 1-2 foot for the plants to grow.....
