transplanting into different soil

i was given a plant about 7 week into veg by my friend ,he gave it to me in a super tiny pot,i am wanting to tranplant it into a bigger pot but a bit worried because he doesnt know what soil he used,can i tranplant into a completely different soil?i am going to use bio-bizz all mix anyadvice please,i want to tranplant very soon to prevent problems

use the new soil.

yes you can, I've done it many times, in fact I used to start my seeds in soil made especially for germination then transplant them in that same soil into a different soil.
