Transplant into 2 or 3 gallon and how many should I flower?

I have a soil grow with 11 plants about 12" tall now. They are doing good and need to be transplanted out of their 6" pots. I have some square 2 gal. or round 3 gal. pots. Will the 2 gal pots be good through flowering? My box is 4x4 by 6 foot tall - ... How many plants should I attempt to flower? I was thinking 6? The light is an air cooled 400 wt HID and I will go with a 1000 wt for flowering.

I'd go with the 3 gallon pots. Fit as many plants as possible (without crowding them) into your space. Probably like 8 plants.

you need 1 gallon of pot size for every foot you want the plant to grow. many people use 3 gallon pots.

six sounds right for your space but you may want to induce early sexing so you can be sure to get 6 females.
