Transplant error!?!

Sup , just transplanted one of my babys into bigger pot , as i was doing so a clump of dirt at bottom ( was all tangled with roots) fell off , its only a small amount but im wondering how much stress this will do to the plant"?

Too much emphasis is put on stress,tearing a few roots off is not going to hurt anything or slow down your plants progress more than a few days.

You could tear half the root mass off & the plant would be ok.

this is true but your goal should be minimal amounts of shock
