im gonna go ahead and suggestt he exact opposite as the above comment. i would leave it also, IF it were in a bigger pot. you can transplant without disturbing yr plant at all if done properly. also, a root bound plant will cause much more issues then mild transplant shock, even if done by the biggest noob.
i have transplanted almost every auto ive grown.
i like to do it when the medium is slightly wet, so it sticks together when it comes out the pot.
gently squeeze the sides of the pot to get it ready to come out. always havve yr next pot ready with a few inches of soil or coco, watever yr using, then place yr hand over the top of the medium, with the base of the stem in between yr fingers, get a secure hold and now turn the plant upside down with yr hand still holding it securely, and slowly and genly ease the plant out and carefully set it in its new pot. now take yr medium and quickly fill in around the sides so yr roots aren't exposed to light for very long.
yr done!
one more thing, i always water a good water after transplant to make sure there is no air pockets.
i read same things asyou about not transplanting autos, and worried just the same and someone told me wat im tellin you...
ppl say not to because autos are on a tight time schedule, and any days lost to stress\shock cannot be made up, so you really want to try to avoid stressing them to much. follow the above when doing it and you'll be jyst fine
