Hello, my fellow gardeners. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my latest venture.

Details

Strains: (2) Trainwreck and (2) Sour Strawberry (Strawberry Cough x Sour Diesel)

Environment: 3x3 Silver Edition Tent

Medium: CANNA Coco in either 3 or 5 gallon smart pots (actual size TBD)

Nutrients: CANNA A & B, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, MagiCal, Silica Blast, Boost, PK 13/14, and MOAB.

I'll be vegging for about 3-4 weeks before putting them into bloom. The Trainwreck should take about 9-10 weeks while the Sour Strawberry should take about 8-9 weeks. So I'm shooting for 9 on both but will take it day-by-day.

I actually have a few goals in mind for this round. I'll only be using two lights: the AT120WR2 and the AT200WR2. The SGS will sit this one out. Nothing against it, it's a phenomenal light, I just have some testing to do with the Apaches. When they get transplanted into their bigger pots, I will be putting a divider in the middle of the tent to cut out any crossover light spillage and give each light one of each strains. The key things I'm going to be looking for are:

  • Differences in the time for first flowers to show
  • Differences in the time to harvest
  • Differences in the total biomass, in both plant size, bud size, and overall yield
  • Differences in the THC content (I will be getting the final product lab tested)

So that's the plan and I'm sticking to it. For now, check out these babies in their temporary party cup homes. They'll be transplanted into their final homes in a few days. Just need to decide if I'm going with 3g or 5g smart pots.

That's about all for now. Questions, comments and suggestions are always welcome.

subb'ed puff..
i wonder what the difference between sour strawberry, sour d x strawberry cough, and strawberry d lite from sagamatha, which is, hmm, sour d x strawberry cough, lol..

who's the breeder on these puff?? ty..

Alright! I was hoping you'd show off these girls:) Subbed up and waiting patiently...

ah, mc. Glad to have you. With the way your buds are looking I'm thinking I could take a few pointers from a grower like yourself. Hope you stick around.

Hell ya...in the name of science!!! Subbed and chubbed.

Yes, sir, Dropping science like Galileo dropped the orange. Always a pleasure to have you aboard.

are they cuttings or seeds?

They are clones. I need to get fresh seeds though for the party cup comp.

No clue what the difference is. According to the dispensary I got them from, they are from BOG seeds, I can also find out the name of the nursery if that matters. I don't know though, I just thought it sounded good when I saw it on the list and I like both of its parents so I rolled with it.

perfect I was hoping they were clones because it makes for a much much better comparison. I am looking forward to see your results and I wish you good luck!

Ima subbed too. If you are doing coco I think 3 gals will be fine. If you go soil, 5 gals would be better

I know im not always present, but believe me trust, im always around from begining to end, cant wait for the journey to harvest!

Thanks, GS! I agree, clones are much Better for doing comparisons.

Sup, hy! Pretty sure you just convinced me to go with 3's. I can imagine shit might Get out of control with 5's

Just dropping by, this should be awesome .

Welcome, el duderino. Should be a fun grow for sure.

Dawg, I put down my stamp of guarantee that I am the legit puff. Now point me to thus imposter you speaker who does 12/12 from seed...there's only one person I know who rocks it like that and he lives in the north pole. Only time I don't veg is when its time to whoop ass in the party cup comp.m. Usually only do 2-3 week veg on clones but since I'm upping the pot size figured I'd veg a bit longer.

Very interesting grow puff.... .....so how many times do you reuse your cocco? And what exactly are you testing out between the Apaches?

Good luck and be safe

I start each round with a fresh pot of coco. Never tried reusing it, but I know you're supposed to be able to use it a few times if you load up on cannazym at the end of the grow to break down roots. And I don't go through enough bags to really make it worth while since it doesn't cost that much. But if there is some beneficial reasons to do so, I'm open to making a switch. Thoughts?

I'm testing the 120 and 200 to see what kind of advantages the 200 holds over the 120. We already know about the par increase. But what comes along with that besides extra biomass? So not only am I expecting a heavier yield for the 200, I'm also looking for better quality and hopefully faster finishers.

So glad I caught this one before too long! Cool idea running both AT's in there, honestly I bet the "layover" between the two is just crazy.. is there a noticeable visual difference between intensity? I s'pose we'll see ;-)

Have you ever thought about seeding out some kids of your own puff? or is the 3x3' your single space? 50ppm Colloidal Silver on amazon's <20 bucks... but I dono how much you pay per cutting, fuckin mainstreamers... heh

Im surprised psu didnt IMMEDIATELY respond to your coco thing haha, I just started digging into the ROLS (recycling thread) and there's some talk of mixing coir in the mix and reusing it! You may check it out...

Be safe friend, and I cant wait to see how this turns out!

^^^^^^^like like like hump hump hump^^^^^^^^^^

P.S. What 4 Inch Fan Have You Had A Eye on????

the 4" S&P TD-Silent 100xs. thought about going with a 6' either td-silent or the vortex, but I would prefer going with one of the smallest and quietest available and I think a 4" will be just fine for my 3x3. Today is the day I think I'll pull the trigger on the green gator.

Mr. Scotch, about damn time you showed up. You are correct, the layover between the two lights is quite a lot, that's why I'll be using the divider to get a true sense of what's going on. In terms of a visual difference in intensity between the two, the 200 definitely looks brighter.

I wish I could start doing my own seeding or even cloning but the 3x3 is my only space for the time being. I made a deal with my lady that I wouldn't expand anytime soon and we would do a fruit/veggie garden next. So I've been giving that some serious thought lately. I'd love to have some home grown veggies. Clones run about $10-14 at the collectives I go to depending on strain and size. Not too bad and they are always legit strains.

I'll have to check out that thread, got a link? haha maybe PSU didn't respond because I think he had a rough time when he was using coco in his soil. Not sure if he still does, but he has definitely ironed things out and his girls are looking great.

Man, I was behind on 20 some threads, and my incentive to get through em all was to read yours... sad... just sad. BUT..!

I would be sure of the dimensions, I couldnt fit my S-Line+Filter INSIDE my 3x3', I would have had to port it out the top and I dont have height for that in the 3x3's area... maybe you do? If not maybe the S&P 4"... but I am hopping on that GG Filter thing too and MAYBE, just MAYBE, we can fit the S-line fan+filter in a 3x3 with how short those are...

Yea.. fuck seeding then, just think of all that pollen. :cuss: You guys starting an outdoor garden or doing indoor? I think I am going to be gardening this spring/summer for the first time, since I have amendments around now..

The thread is one of the stickies in the organic sub section, Im only like 70 pages in, but im telling you the first 20 are gold. At least for a orgi-newb like myself, still a little shady on even MORE basic things but ill get there. That and the AACT thread Red started is pretty cool.. Hyroot just posted something about seed sprouting im gonna have to set down and devote some time to in his new thread. Im ALMOST done building my first mix... then hopefully just watering/tea's and recycling, Though I dont think im gonna do "no till," (leaving the roots to degrade..)

Take care!

Damn, what filter were you trying to fit in there? If you still can't fit one in, and don't have the outer room height to port out the top, maybe out the side if your tent has a top side opening? I read in another post you said you got the GG filter already...Have you tried to see if the gator will fit in yet? That's the filter I'm rolling with so hopefully it will fit, haha. Kind of stoked to get some better air exchange in my tent.

The veggie garden would be indoors right next to the other. We are still just talking about it at this point, researching what to grow together and what not. My family's always had gardens so I just really miss it. I was thinking about some apache led tubes for it.

I haven't checked out that organic sub section yet, so when I have some serious time to kill this weekend I'll hop on over there and get schooled. Already learning lots from all the guys around here though just by reading their conversations/threads. One day I'll give it a shot. Maybe when the veggie tent comes that will prompt me to learn about it.
