TrainWreck 1st Grow

Hello there.
This is my 1st go at a grow after 35 years of smoking everyone elses efforts. My two plants are 4 weeks into flowering. I topped one and fimmed the other strange thing is the topped one now looks about a week behind the fimmed, what's all that about? The fimmed plants hairs are turning brown a lot faster and I wondered if this is owt to do with lack of water? I have em in small pots (too small) of only about 6litres each.
Any advice will be taken onboard and any reccos for something that will grow faster in a small space.

Trainwreck is on my top 10 favs for sure... I love the flavor of the one I grew last year... I made hash outta some the flavor reminds me of the smell of crayons on a lightbulb... very waxy flavor ...

I grow to for flavor not potency.. (both are nice ) but ahhhhhhhhhhhh love me some TW!

trainwreck is a great strain.. how many light bulbs you using?.. and why dont you lower the lights

I too love flavour and aroma but I don't like the sound of burning wax tho'. I need as much THC as possible and read TW was one of the most potent.

I love the waft of Amsterdam coffee shops, coffee and a cone please.

I have two lights, that little twisty one and an larger (64k bloom I think without looking) that is to the side, not above, I've not got the room. I get the girls out in the sun when its out and switch em about under the lights.
I'm a bit scared of burning em how far away should that little twisty bulb be away? It appears to shed more light in general to all buds when it's about 2 inches from the nearest bud or leaf. The plants may appear larger in the pics but from soil to top is only 20inches.

Impressive after 35 years of not growing. And with topping you shot the growth hormone further down the plant than when you fimmed. The topped plants bottom just trying to catch up with your newly formed canopy.

Hello calicat, thanks for the info, I will always fim in future if it does not slow anything down. I must admit I have probably done most things wrong but somehow they do not look too bad.

The climate in the UK is crap, it's the middle of summer and its hailstones and thunder outside @15 degreeC, my main problems are temperature control and humidity, they are in my shed 85% humidity outside at the mo! The outside temp drops below 16c at night so thats what it is in most of the shed, I have a 60watt tube heater and a small dehumidifier running all the time but both hum & temp still fluctuate greatly. I will adjust my lights to shine overnight next attempt just for the extra heat. Well you live and learn. I just hope it smokes ok at the end of the days.
