Training the plant to lay down and grow sideways???

how does one train the plant to grow sideways? also can this method be used with SOG? please try to be specific. thank you!!!!

Bend the plant and tie it down...

Pinch it to soften the stem and then bend it 90degrees, tie them down or hang some weight on it. Looks at LST (low stress training) and ScroG examples in the forums.

i was just going through the forums and trying to find anything specific is insane. thank you though. i understand the bending!!! now, will this method work for sea of green? i am still trying to understand the meaning of it. why is it done that way????

Sea of green doesn't employ any kind of plant training. It consist of growing many single cola plants in small containers packed in tight. Perhaps you are thinking Screen of green method. This method uses a screen at the top of the canopy to restrict vertical growth. You bend and manipulate the tops under the screen and prevent them from coming through. After the plant has grown to massive scale you flower it and allow the tops to come through the screen. This provides a even canopy and equal light to all colas. Hope that helps.
