totally bummed

I just spent 30 minutes trying to write my first post ....describing my whole setup (in detail) and asking for advice or opinions.

when I clicked the Submit new thread button .... it said I was not allowed to go to this page .... and it was showing that I wasnt signed in anymore ..... wtf ? then I clicked back page and it went back to the Post writing page...and My title was there ...and it appeared that I was signed in .... But ALL MY TYPING WAS GONE !!!

then before typing THIS ... I went and tried to find where I might have gone wrong .... and I couldnet find any thing .

what a waste of time ....I'm so dissappointed .... I guess I'll just go back to being a reader (like Ive been for a year or so now) ....and skip trying to participate....

this SUCKED a big one ....I HATE wasting time like that ....It's bad enough Im on dial up and everything is so Frikkin slow ....but to be BURNED by having a whole Typed article just erased for no reason ..... pfffft....I've got better things to do

yes.... hoping someone might know what happened.... like some forums make you reply to 5 or 10 posts before starting one..... or mayube your first post has to be in the newb section....IDK....just looking for some insight .... and I guess I needed to vent ....

I've been a member of many forums.... and I like this one .... but this one like all others .... there will always be "wastes of time" reading the same info over and over again ....learinig how to sift through junk posts to find the "good , solid info"

there I just wasted some more time ..... but look at my post count flourishing !

oh well ...guess I'll go to work ...and ask for advice later ....

thought I'd feel better venting ....but I dont ....

If you get this discouraged about a post. I hope you do not become suicidal during the grow! And new members are allowed to start threads. Do as mentioned above when doing long rants. Do a basic word document or the like. Then sign in, copy and paste away. Wish you better luck next time. EDIT: I double dog dare you to start a thread!!!!!! Make that a double dog with a triple lindy dare.

Write long posts in a word processor and then copy and paste innit - standard. Should be lesson learnt.

You have to be logged in to start a thread. You took so long writing your post, the system logged you back out.
When you log in again, check that box that says 'remember me' (or words to that effect). That way, you can take as long as you want to write up your post and the system won't log you out.

Werd on the copy and paste, if I do anything else at all while I'm typing say an update here or the like, I always copy it all before I do it, including clicking "post" between wireless signals, power surges, and computers there's too much that can go wrong lol. Sorry for ur loss lol hopefully u get the motivation to do it again, we could always use more pics and contribution ( given its actual contribution and constructive. Not just rambling)here. :joint:
