Total time a plant is alive? Or total time in 12/12?

I always see things like this:


Height: 3 ft - 4 ft
Flowering Time: 9 weeks
Yield: 2.5 to 3.0 oz per plant

I always assumed that meant the plant needs to be in 12/12 for about 9 weeks. Is that correct? Or is 9weeks the total time the plant will need to grow?

yeah, thats correct. thats why it says flowering time and not plant life cycle time.

Along the same lines as your question (not stealing your thread, but....) does the 9 week flower time mean 7 weeks of flower + 2 weeks flush = 9 weeks...... or is it 9 weeks of flower + 2 weeks of flush = 11 weeks? ive done both but with different strains....mostly an eyeball guess for me. But clarity will help my confusion...thanks

it's a guessing game, but the time means 9 weeks = 7 weeks + 2 weeks flushing.
