Torrential Rain

Last night we received about 3 inches of rain. My plants were located pretty close to a drainage culvert, and all are now about halfway submerged in water. How long do I have to transplant these babies to a dry area before they die?

whoa man, we had the same here in Minnesota last night to woke me up... I dont know what to tell ya other than wait to see if the water receeds cause you cant see where your digging and may just F'em up worse.

Yeah, I live in MN as well. The water will not recede anytime soon, so I probably need to do it sooner rather than later. I just need to know how long can I reasonably expect the plants to survive with half of them under water.

Yeah cause where im at it looks like we got more rain coming and then its gonna get hellashisly hot today . Thats a tough call, i do all mine indoors. Either way its a risk to keep them there or dig them up you know. I'll do some digging around on here and see if i can come up with a answer for ya. Be back in awhile.

unless its in a bucket with no drain hole its not really submerged the medium is just taking a while to let the water out.. if its in the ground, don't worry about it... i intentionally put trenches around mine to catch the rain... less walking with water haha.

as far as the answer to how long a plant can live, no idea, and i dono if anyone in here has ever 'drowned' a plant... maybe it could be an experiment with a male some time

Here ya go man, i got an answer to my question i posted about it. Hope this helps, i couldnt find anything on this even in google.
