tops as clones.

I stated in another post that I do not have mother plants and are not sure if i want to.

I saw a guy on youtube use a top as a clone in an ez cloner. I cannot afford one so i was wondering if using a top as a cutting in compost plugs will this provide a stronger clone and will it even work well?

limited space would call for some extra logistics. not problem, just trying to to figure out how best to start them, where to put them and how many to keep. starting them is the main problem as i don't have access to any as i don't know any other cultivators and the dispensaries here in my town don't have any yet. so it's star from a 'strong, strong clone, or from a fem seed. jsut confused
