Hello, I am sure all of this has been covered but I figured I would ask anyways. I toped all 5 of my plants today and I am really hoping I did not mess anything up. I watched many videos and read all bout it. I will be adding pictures here is a sec for everyone to see and let me know what you think. I also accidentally cut one small leave off of one of the plants. What kind of effect will that have? Thanks all

Hahaha, it is dude. Am I reading correct and that the pictures would be better with the lights off? Thanks for saying they look fine. I am in need of words of encouragement. I have felt strong with everything I have done up till this point. It definitely made me nervous. In about a week I plan on LST. could I top and LST at the same time, that would be for the second top and first LST? Thanks. This is exactly two weeks from them breaking the surface of the soil.

They look good to me. Screwing up topping would require the grower have an extra chromosome I believe.

I usually wait until about the 5th or 6th node to top a plant. These guys were a little young. I'm curious to see what these plants look like in a week or two.

I have heard a verity of nodes to count before toping. All but one had at least 4 nodes. Today they are still looking happy and healthy so I am feeling like it is going to work out.

So far the plants are still looking very healthy. They are not growing as fast but that is expected. I will have pictures up tomorrow but I think I did well and that the plants will do just fine.

I top early with seedlings. I like to get branches going, so I can take clones sooner. With clones, I top when they reach the top of a milk jug. I don't want them bushing too short...

Topping is pretty simple just pinch/cut off the top growth and watch the lower nodes explode in growth and get huge compared to the branches.

Here is day 4 or 5 after being topped. They are still looking very healthy. I would like to hear what some of you have to say and let me know if it is looking right, oaky, or bad. Thanks for all the advice. Here is a picture.

Looks just fine. Have you heard of mainlining? I've always wanted to do it, but I don't grow from seed anymore.

I have not heard of mainlining. What is it? I would be willing to give it a try.

I have never done this myself, but it looks really neat. Don't try anything you are not confident about. A lot these in depth methods are hard to master and take time and patience. At the least I hope you have a good read.

I want to try this too. Though I've read a few members on here saying it's a cool looking plant and little else...who knows?

Would it be worth wile to bend the leaves of the plant down? not actually cracking the stock but a mental bend?

Yes its easy before the stem becomes to woody, sometimes you have to do it gradually over 2 days by tying it off half way down to your desired spot.

My outdoor plant was about 3' tall with a very thick and woody main stem before I learn about LST, started bending that momma close to the base over about 3 days had it to almost 90*, shes a damn 3' tall 4' wide BUSH now and just starting to kick into flower, so many more colas than when she was standing straight
