topping u get 2 colas. Fim u can get up to 6-8 colas. combine fim with supercropping and u could end up with 15-25 colas, depending on strain. I Fim twice and then I supercrop and i end up with a shit load of smoke. Easier than scrog, more effective than LST..

hi Husker, if you are still checkin out my thread, am currently using the LST and supercropping methods, but I am not sure what this "femming" deal is all about... what is it and how do you do it? I wouldn't mind 15 colas per plant!!!
they are about 7 weeks old from seed and it looks as if i am going to get 8-12 or more colas (used to be undergrowth, however have shot up recently to look as if they are colas) per plant

oh and also (because my curiosity is endless) would it be possible to FIM the FIMed plants for EVEN MORE!? just tossin it out there
go to youtube and look up both. you may have to filter through a couple before u see a good quality vid, but they are on there. research man, research.
Armlength buds: how many times do you fimm your plants and at what stages do you do it?? how long do you veg for?? how bad does it strees the plant? how many times do you pinch or supper crop your plants?? do you do it in both phases the veg and flower stage? does it really increase your yield alot? can it be done by a newer grower with success? by doing the fimming and super cropping does it make your flowering times expand drastically? like if a strain flowers in 8-9 weeks with doing this method would that extend it to 10-12weeks?? how many plantws would you do in a 4x4x8 area under a 600watthps/mh lighting system ?

hey dude hope all is well. 1st off i fim by the time i get to the 3rd or 4 node growth. The plant will tell u when its ready to fim. If you search RIU u will find a great diagram on where to fim versus the normal topping technique. I usually wait 2 to 3 to 4 weeks and fim again, but that really depends on the strain and what the plant is telling me. If it looks or acts over stressed than I wait a bit. Usually you will get at least 4 top colas if fimmed properly. Then I start off with the super crop this will be about 2 and 1/2 months into veg. i stick with the smaller, lower limbs 1st, usually never exceeding 8 to 10 branches on first round. Give a week or two, again letting your plant dictate how much it can handle. Just by doing the bottom branches your going to open your canopy to where your bottom branches will form colas as well, instead of popcorn buds!! You can go up from there, usually doing 5 at a time and then giving it time to heal. And then I usually dont do anymore. Which normally doesn't take long to heal. Flowering time will be dependant on what strain you grow. Add maybe a couple of weeks extra, as far as time, due to healing. But yes your yields will be at least twice as good as a normal grow. Mine are usually 3 to 4 times better than a normal christmas tree grow!!!! I have LST, but found it to be be more of a pain in the ass. Regular topping will get you 2 top colas versus 4 or more and a lot of popcorn buds, and super crop will open up your entire plant creating colas all over that dude. Each node grows a cola! I grow multiple strains, AK-47, and a Kush haze, and some sativa my from gave me as a clone. 3 plants, all for personal use and yields the size of texas!!! I would stick with 4 to 6 plants, all strain dependant with 600 watts. You have to remember that supercropping really can spread you plant out. 600 will work great for a 4x4. not the 8ft part. If you want to do 10 plants or something like that your goin to need more light. Good luck, and youtube has some great instructionals on supercropping. research, research, research!!!

I've never grown white berry, so i dont want to tell you yes or no. Most, if not all strains of pot are single cola, thats why we fim etc. But there is always the chance that white berry wouldnt take. Google the piss out of white berry, post a thread on RIU, check out other forums and surely you'll find an answer??? sorry mate. About the space issue 4x4x8, it would be very tight around the 2 month mark. You want room to rotate plants and to give detailed attention to each one. Or at least thats my mantra.. And with a 600 watt light ur basicaly looking at a light circle if 4x4. So after you do the math???? Start off with 6-7, then if you realize you've got to little light and space maybe ditch the super crop idea, and just fim the shit out of them. Or give a couple early christmas presents to friends.... Who knows you may can get away with it. Its hard to tell untill you get there. laters
