topping lowryder strains?

No direct experience with LR, but I would think that topping would slow down growth. That normally wouldn't be a problem with normal strains but with only eight weeks from seed to harvest, I'm not sure if you would be diminishing overall yield since they're such short plants to begin with.

Sounds like a plan. Not everyone is in agreement as to whether FIM'ing or topping is as beneficial as some people claim. By the way, I'm growing 5 plants and I FIM'd 2 just for shits and giggles.

This is how Auto-flowering plants do it. The first 15 days is vegetative growth after that the plant automatically goes into flowering (with no change of light cycle).
When you top a plant you need to top it at least 30 days before flowering. If you top a plant within 30 days of flowering, the flowering will become retarded and maturation is delayed a week or longer. This is because when you top the plant it diffuses floral hormones.
So sorry you don't have 30 days.
