Topping lower

Hey guys. So I was wondering can I choose at which node I make the cut ? I'm 4 weeks into veg and 7 nodes tall but thinking of topping everything above the 5th. Is that an option or do I HAVE to top ONLY the growth above the highest node ? Total noober question I know. Kinda odd no one has addressed this on the forum though or at least I can't find the thread :s

I've always topped it down a couple nodes. Don't think it matters its just easier. I usually wait till I get 6-7 then take it down to the 4th or 5th. Can't say it the right way but you can. If she's vegging vigorously she won't mind

I have topped everywhere.
Dont be afraid to try to root whatever you clip off. A glass of water even works sometimes. It is a pretty resilient plant

It is easier indeed. Getting between that topmost node and the newest growth can be a tricky bitch, much higher risk of FIM-ing. Guess I'll give topping lower a shot, report back in a week or two when it's had time to recover :)

you think sticking the clipped stalk straight into soil could work ? That'd be interesting. Gotta be a guide on here somewhere...

Clip stalk and quickly get into a glass of water. Wet yur medium good then poke a hole in your medium with your finger/pen/pencil/screwdriver/weiner. Dip a couple inches of the end into your cloning powder/jell liberally then insert into the hole and then kinda pack the dirt or whatever tightly around the stem.

Don't be afraid to take off ALL the leaves except the couple new ones growing at the top. Spray a few times a day with about half strength veg nutrients and you will have roots in 5-7 days
