Topping Autoflowers

Anyone ever tried topping auto flowers before? Read a couple of mixed things about it. Its my first time growing auto flowers

I started with autos several years ago and did so on several grows. Early and once. Some strains my not like it. I was growing a diesel of some type and it worked fine. Can't say if yield is better or worse. I switched to photos.

Fair enough! I've already done it to 2 out of my three autos so I'll see if theres any huge difference in yield compared to the other

I tried it once by accident (LST'ed a little too aggressively) on a Buddah Magnum Auto

Yield was significantly less than the 2 that remained intact.

I've heard some strains can handle it but i usually stick to LST

I've topped mine once and early so far and pleased with how the plants have turned out so far. we will see what the scale says at the end of it.....

The best I've seen from my auto daze was around 4 zips in. 5 gal bucket

i used to top years ago ... you get more uniform buds but you lose out on the main cola so if the strain can handle it ..... well i guess its user preference at that point ...... like someone else said not all strains like it ...... the bushier ones tend to do better than the single cola's

Been working with AF for a while now and as mentioned above, Some dont like to be topped nor LSTrained. Currently working with Lowryder and have topped it 3 times during its veg and it responds nicely to it, increased my yield big time !! tried it with 60 day wonder by DNA once and the lady just went in shock for a week with no results.

Yea that sounds similar to my Bubalicious. It's a lot smaller than the others and has preflowers at about 40cm so I think I stunted it. Ah well! Live and learn i guess
