Too much light?

a dog named chico

are 4 23w CFL (100w Daylight) too much for one plant, mine seems to be in this limbo where it is not growing, during the day i go organic (natural light) and as the sun gose down i place in the box and it seems to have a negative effect on the plant?

any suggestions?

and if it matters im using basic top soil and organic plant food and a little ash in the soil for carbon (works good on roses)

first of all, read a bit more on growing. check the FAQ.

but either way, the 4 CFL's should be enough, I had 4 on my plants (4 days old) and just removed 2 today because they seemed to be burning the plants a little.

you shouldn't really use much plant food for the first 2 weeks, for up to 9 days, sometimes longer, your plant is still a seedling, and is very fragile.

if you're going to use light bulbs, use light bulbs, don't have it on a window sill part of the day, and lights the other part. that will stunt its growth.
