Too much light... Is it possible??

Good day RIU family. Not a noob here but could really use some professional opinions. Grower for many years but recently ventured into building and starting a stealth grow cabinet. Everything seems perfect as far as conditions go... Temp 70-78 and RH 35%-55% consistent. Very good air flow. I'm using a 400w vipar led which has been great for the last 2 years. Now to the issue... I've had one plant dwarf, two others had apparent heat issues... Drying, curling, dying leaves and very slow stunted growth. One other seemed to be much more resistant to the issue til now that she's gotten much bigger and closer to the light, now she's the only one left after the others have finished. So my question is this... even though my room is staying at a constant temperature of around 72 to 75 degrees is it possible that my light is burning my plants do to the reflective material in my box focusing the light on my plants too much?? I just really want to remedy this issue before the next round which is coming up quickly. I can post pics of the plant and the box and answer any questions you may have that might help me to a solution. Thanks roll it up family

How close is your light to your plants, 400w led is alot of power. I'm sure you already PH your water and soil. LED'S can cause issues if they are lower than 12 inches especially with seedlings. I would recommend 18 inches away then move closer as they adjust.

The last one in there is in dwc and ph is always 5.5- 6. The light has never been within 12". It is sitting 18" above plant now. The light distance has seemed to make no difference. Even when the plants were small and 3 ft from the light I got the same results.

It took 1200w on 6" seedlings to cause mine to yellow from light poisoning, they didn't get burn marks, just yellow, what you are describing sounds like it could be wind burn, how much fan do you have blowing on them?

I thought maybe that as well but have only had a small clip fan in there and removed it for a while with no change whatsoever. With the air exchange rate in that box I could run with no fans. Very high air turnover rate

That one just looks like it's using up some of its stored energy in the leaves to finish, they do that, the leaves are a bit droopy, I'd check my res temps and air stone to make sure your temps are on point and you are getting enough O2 to the roots, maybe try to get that fan raised up to blow between the canopy and the light

It's def not just the plant finishing, this is the last of 4. 2 of which were in soil and had the same issues from the start. This one was more resillient than the rest and my res temps never go above 70 At 65 right now. And BTW she is a thc bomb auto. She's a monster, lol I really believe it has to do with the light. In the last week I've installed a Glass Lens a couple inches below the line with a piece of screen on top of it and it seems to have helped with the drying of the top buds a bit

Just had a thc bomb auto sprout up myself, I'm not sure what it could be then, I run a 600 hps and a 300w led in a small grow room and haven't had any of those issues from the lights, and my led is far closer than yours is, what type of feed are you using?

I'm using cyco nutes bloom a & b with a little added potash keeping my ppm below 400. The bomb auto was much more resillient than the others as in had near no issues til she creeped within 2 ft of the light. Thought maybe it was the super reflective material on all sides focusing light?

Not to say you haven't thought of this but maybe your burning them slightly hence the dryness

Mines got the same liningIMAG0938.jpg

But I'm pushing 1200 ppm, 1350 burned the tips of my leaves so I backed it down and haven't had any issues, how are your roots looking? Nice and white? If you've had the same issues in all the different mediums it seems to be the lights or the environment, perhaps you are experiencing the opposite of what you are thinking, maybe not enough light? A 400w led depending on the mfg. Can be as low as 200 actual watts

Sorry to change the subject but it looks like you grow Autos so I got another question for you.... I'm starting a rhino ryder auto in a 10 gal smart pot, have you ever scrogged an auto? Is it possible or not enough veg time?

Wow you running autos at 1200!! Mine burn anywhere above 450. I added another panel for a short time as well, the bomb did okay due to its resilience but it just made everything much worse with all the rest

I do grow autos, but usually only while I veg my photos, I did however just do a side by side same strain auto grow lst on one and natural shape no training on the other to compare yield, imho no training worked best, but only because the structure of the autos i ran....critical rapido by Barneys...for Ryder strains(very short autos) I believe the best method would be to sog rather than scrog just because of the lack of veg tks recuperation on them

Not 1200 for the autos, they went up to around 900 with no issues though, here are the last 2 autos i ran to see how they finished lst and natural...I like to use obscure size references to mess with folk
