I'm really stoned right now...I mean come on, if you're looking through toke n' talk, than I know you're stoned right now. So how about you get your stoned ass to try and drop a line in the cypher?
The rules of the cypher are simple. Drop 1 bar of what is known as a 'keystyle', playing off of what the last bar the person who posted before you wrote.
A keystyle is a quick, off the top of your head rhyme, but instead of freestyling it out loud, you are typing it for the forum(a bit obvious). A bar is a portion of a verse, mainly 2 verses in the bar. These 2 verses will often rhyme in the beginning and end, with a similar sounding syllable in the middle to keep up the flow of the rhythm. A bar should have a punchline, or form of clever wordplay. The first verse is usually your opening for your punchline, with the 2nd verse feeding off the setup of your first verse to deliver the 'punch'.
So, for the sake of RIU,
hyphy gets blunted, stoned high like i'm perched on Atlas' shoulder/
nuts like boulders, x you out of your file, and i dont mean like Moulder/
^^Now the next poster will play off my bar (ex. start your rhyme with something about Moulder)
