To trim or not to trim?

This is my first grow and still stumbling into things i thought i knew all ready lol I have to lovely little Tangerine Dream ladies that are in a make shift cabinet about 40x18x50 inches... I have 4 100 watt LED lights putting about 1500 lumens each and 2 100 w equivalent CFLs. It took me about a week to realize that the lighting was to close to the plants and now have a lot of undergrowth. Do I let them grow out or trim back a little of the undergrowth? 20160302_184653.jpg [

The only time those lights are too close is if your plants react negatively. I personally would leave them be for a little bit. You could actually top them and the undergrowth you don't like would grow up and even up the canopy.

I'm on my first grow right now about to flower my plants out tomorrow but I would leave her alone for now Give her some time to stretch and bush out
