my babies are about a month old, under a 400 MH lamp at the moment, im having great growth and everything is running as good as could be expected, but should i trim my ladies up, these big fan leaves seem to be getting in the way and blocking other more important leaves, should i trim some of the bigger fan leaves to free up some room for lighting? it all seems so clustered up. theyre about 10" tall and the big leaves are roughly 5".....any ideas? i know the big fan leaves prob help with photosyn, but i feel they may be taking up too much energy. Any input would be appreciated. thanks guys

i think they look fine.. they are close enough to that light that it should penetrate through the leaves to lower region. I personally would just keep on growing them.

Never trim off leaves, thats like shutting down a power plant to conserve electricity. You trim off the bottom branches that will never see light, they are what we call suckers. Trim the tiny lower branches. They look great though very good job

haha, of course i didnt read this before i started hacking, i took off 2-3 per plant, not the hige fan leaves, just the ones that happened to be getting in the way. just to free up a little bit of room. damn, wish i hadnt now, will i notice any negative effects, slower recovery growth, slow plant growth, i doubt she'll die, but damn. lol, thats what i get for medicating and not reseraching!
