To top or not to top?

I know why people top ie to manage size or more colas. But the my question is which way gives a bigger yield the 1giant cola or like 4 - 6 smaller ones? Any experiences on the differences.

i just now topped my first time if i knew i would tell you, though i took the risk becuase i will be getting 8-12 amin colas and that will obviously give me nice yeilds and buds not shake.

Well, everything I have read and experienced leads me to believe that you are no further ahead either way. It just distributes the bud in different ways. I have been growing the same strain for about 3 years now and I have done it all different ways.... Topped, Fimmed, Scrogged, Sogged, LSTed and straight up vertical growing. The yield has always been very predictable and similar. For me, it is all about finding the best way to manage the canopy.

To top or not to top?

Top for more colas? Or just let it grow? (let's say the room is 8ft high)
