To prune or not to prune (the leaves), is the question?

Wow so many conflicting opinions on pruning anything beyond a dead leaf. It seems the only common opinion is not to prune well into flower, at least not without time in between for gurls to adapt to their trim...
Is there a way to stop a gurl from going back into veg? Maybe running no light for a time?

You never prune in flower. Your confusing Defoliate “Removing Leaves” with Prune “Removing Entire Branches” with one another. You may have gotten more answers without such a simple mistake.
