To dry or not dry?

Ok so I knew I would end up in this part of the forum some day lol

When making cannabutter using just the trim is it absolutely necessary to dry the leaves etc or can I just use it freshly cut from the plant?
Any help much appreciated thanks!

Ok,

I have been pondering this and would like to rehash... an old post...

Do I need to dry my leaves trim buds ect before I make my canna butter or will it be just as POTENT (taste I care not) with fresh trim/bud as dried/cured trimn/buds... please help I am hungry...

I used undried trim from my last harvest. I trimmed one day, then used the trim to make some butter in a crock pot. Had cannabutter by day 3.
