To bud or not to bud?

I've had these bbc plants in veg for 6 week's now on 18/6 I planned to veg for 6 weeks but looking at them I just don't think they look ready to produce a fair amount of bud I can't help but think I've done something wrong to make them glow slow or something have a look and see what you guys think Ps sorry I should have turned the lights out

As far as plant size they are ready to flower. Can't tell the if there is something wrong with the HPS on.

Those are plenty large enough to produce! Remember once your plants flower they will stretch to nearly double their current size in the first 2.5 weeks.

It's going to be fun to tend them after they double/triple in size.

They could have been ready a week ago if you wanted or another two weeks from now. It depends how much height you have to play with in your flowering room and also how long you want to wait for smoke. Generally the longer a plant is in vege, the better it will yield (to a point).
I switch to 12/12 when my plants (usually indica dominant) are half the maximum plant height my room can take and I can't LST them down anymore. They will continue to vege for a few more weeks under 12/12 as they stretch up and start to bud.
