Hi,im just starting and im using 1) 23 & 1) 26 watt soft white cfls. Will this work? I need help bad!

Well....To sprout a seed, and raise it for 2 weeks sure!!! Haha, welcome to fabulous world of growing. To properly finish your first plant, i would buy a 150 watt hps light from Amazon. Should be around $70. The lights you have won't be enough. If you grab a few more CFL's, you will have enough to veg it for around 2-3 weeks. To flower the plant, however, you will need a more powerful light. I say start with what the pros use. Buy a low wattage HPS. Just my opinion though!! Good luck.

The first thing is to do A LOT of reading AND then establish a budget. We're here to help, but we don't want to scare you off. If you are under 18 and living with your parents you may get into trouble when the electric bill changes and the odor starts when you flower...do more research, please.

Not necessary, could go T5's. they're much cheeper and low elect.

Thx guys for the info!! Finds are vers low at the moment so I was trying an inexpensive but progressive grow. Any tips on which cfls to use? The swirly ones of course.

These are small ones. You can get "Y" sockets and double up. Personally I'd get larger ones, but this is the minimum wattage.

Remember 6500K for veg and 2700K for flower...or get close to those numbers.
